The admissions to the 57 courses and around 54,000 seats have begun by the Delhi University, as DU first cut off list 2016 has been declared by the University. The Online Registration or registration process for admission to Delhi University for academic session 2016-17 has been ended. However, candidates who have completed their registration process before the last date are eligible for admission to the university.

DU First Cut off List 2016: Commerce, Science & Arts
DU first cut off list has been released by University. DU first cut off list 2016 for admission to various undergraduate courses in Delhi University. The admission to the colleges based on the cut off list will begin from June 30, 2016.
According to the DU first cut off list released by the university on its official website www.du.ac.in, Ramjas College wants 99.25% for admission to B.Com (Hons.), Kirorimal College wants 98% for Physics (Hons) and 98% for Economics (Hons). Lady Shri Ram College has set cut-off at 98.25% and 98% for admission to English (Hons) and Economics (Hons) courses, respectively.
This year, there are more than 6000 students who have applied for admission in DU and having more than 95% marks. Whereas, the number of students scoring more than 90% and have applied for admission in Delhi University is around 27,000.

DU First Cut off List 2016 & Schedule for announcement of Cut-offs in Colleges for year 2016-17
- Notification of first admission list by the colleges: June 30, 2016 (Thursday)
- Document verification and approval of admission: June 30 to July 02, 2016 (Thursday to Saturday)
- Notification of second admission list by the colleges: July 05, 2016 (Tuesday)
- Document verification and approval of admission: July 05 to July 08, 2016 (Tuesday to Friday)
- Notification of third admission list by the colleges: July 11, 2016 (Monday)
- Document verification and approval of admission: July 11 to July 13, 2016 (Monday to Wednesday)
- Notification of fourth admission list by the colleges (if any): July 15, 2016 (Friday)
- Document verification and approval of admission: July 15 to July 18, 2016 (Friday to Monday)
- Notification of fifth admission list by the colleges (if any): July 20, 2016 (Wednesday)
- Document verification and approval of admission: July 20 to July 22, 2016 (Wednesday to Friday)
After approval of admission, the candidate has to log on to the undergraduate admission portal to make online fee payment. This may be done till 12:00 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline.
Admission Process at the colleges after fifth cut-off
If the seats remain vacant after fifth cut-off, the following process may be followed to fill vacant seats in the colleges.
The colleges shall notify the status of vacant seats course wise and category wise on the university portal as well as their website and college notice board. Only these candidates who has registered online earlier with the university, will be eligible and required to apply with the colleges online through university portal wherever seats are available and as per schedule only.
The application of such candidates will be received online for 3 days each in two phases. The college will prepare online with their names, online registration number and Best of Four/PCM/PCB etc. (whichever is applicable) for each course and display the total merit list on its website and notice board.
The college will also notify the merit list with names and registration number of candidates eligible for admission against vacant seats.
The admission of the candidates, whose names appear in the merit list prepared by the colleges for each course, will be admitted in next two days on merit basis only against vacant seats. The admission process will however be only online as earlier.
Three such lists with names of eligible candidates for admission as per the seats available should be brought out according to the schedule announced by the University.
After three such cut-offs, if the seats still remain vacant or the list has been exhausted, the college will again invite applications online through university portal.
If there is more than one applicant with same ‘Best Four’/PCB/PCM for only one seat in a course, then marks of aggregate of class XII must be considered. If these are also same, then all such candidates must be admitted.
