EWS Nursery Admission Result 2016: Schools have begun to deliver the points to the candidates seeking for EWS Nursery admission 2016. Most schools have given 30 to 60 points to the distance criteria and afterwards 20-25 points to siblings and alumni criteria.
Even after the elimination of management quota and 62 criteria by Delhi government in nursery admission, admission process on the same old criteria is ongoing.
Going against the petition of schools, high court directed that the admission will continue as per the old criteria and now decent point are being given to the criteria like Alumni, Girl Child, First Come First Serve. The High Court will decide the case on January 28. In most of the schools the point system has been started but many schools are still waiting for the decision. EWS Nursery Admission Result 2016: Sibling and Alumni factor will be more effective for nursery admission in top schools of Delhi under EWS/DG category
As per the latest trend, sibling and alumni criteria has been become priority for top schools of Delhi as more students under sibling and alumni category are approaching to schools, in this case chances for admission of students residing nearby school are less. Several schools have given higher points to residential criteria but by increasing the range they have isolated nearby students from admission.
DPS, Vasant Kunj has declared the first list of registered candidates which is a proof that if you are not under sibling or alumni quota then your chances for admission are difficult. DPS has given 40 points to the candidates residing within the range of 0 to 15 km, which suggest that, even if candidate is 1 km far or 15 km from the school, points for the candidate will be same. In this condition most students stands on equal level and afterwards candidate having sibling or alumni quota scores higher.
According to the DPS criteria, a core school student also comes under alumni criteria due to which seats are likely to be filled. This is not only the case of DPS but various other schools like G D Goenka, Rohini, Queens Mary School, Rohini are also following the same footsteps.
EWS Nursery Admission Result 2016: Distance Criteria is the highest priority among Delhi schools
Several schools had divided groups according to the distance area. Ahlcon Public School Principal, Ashok Pandey says that, we have given 45 points to the candidates of an area nearby school, 35 points to the candidates of region some far from school and 25 point to students belonging to other regions. Bal Bharti Public School Principal, Mr. V.K.Sehgal told that, we favored students from the school nearby so according to this we have given 50 points.
VSPK International School, Rohini and Junior School, Pitampura are giving 60 points to the distance criteria. School Principal Dr. Dolly Jaitely says that children living close to the school should not suffer and that’s why most point is being given to the distance criteria. M.M Public School, Pitampura Prinipal Roma Pathak told that there will be 50 points for distance criteria in the admission formula. Mount Abu School, Rohini has also housed 50 points for distance criteria.
There are several schools which are giving 30 or less points to distance. Sardar Patel Vidhalaya School is giving 20 points to students residing within 0-6 km and 18 to 6 points to the candidates residing within 6-20 km far from the school. Air force Bal Bharti School, Lodhi road is giving 25 points to the candidate residing within 25 km of area from the school. Springdale’s School, Bosco Public School and Little Angel Public School are giving 30 points to the residential criteria in the admission formula.
School principal Amrita Valla Vattal says that, 30 points have been given to the students residing nearby school and 20 points have been given to students who are residing far from school but can self-manage the transport.
Activist Ashok Jha told that, all the schools who have received land from the government have been directed through an allotment letter that schools have to provide at least 75% admission to students nearby school. According to a report there are 410 schools in Delhi which have been constructed on government land and according to the allotment letter they must give admission to the candidate residing nearby school. In case if any school does not follow the rules, government can take action against those schools.
